This purchase was a solid one for me. After using a rod only system for over a year I decided that the cage concept just makes sense. Using arms and hot shoes to hold monitors and audio gear was making my rig a bit wobbly. The cage helps your center of gravity. The design and craftsmanship is top notch. The unit shipped sooner than expected and a quick email to customer service provided a very fast response. That alone makes me want to keep doing business with Habbycam.
The other bonus is that I feel the camera is much better protected. It still fits in it's space within the pelican case and I don't have remove the camera when transporting.
This is a no brainer purchase for me.

DSLR Cage

I must say - I never take time to write a manufacturer about their products. But in this case I'm so very pleased with not only the build quality but the thought behind it's ergonomics. - which show thoughtful regard for the possibility that some folks may want to hand-hold the camera while in the cage and yours allows for easy access to all camera controls. No other DSLR cage manufacturer did this. The machining is spot on and the rail system fits precisely. It exhibits both MIL-Spec and Aerospace quality.
